You can also share your own tent in the registration process or later in the edit profile section. If your not into sleeping on mother nature you can also rent a Cabin, Lodge or stay at the local hotel in Fairplay about 6 miles from the ranch. WHAT TO BRING:
Camping is fun and exciting but it doesn’t have to be a chore. This will be a self-sustainable camping experience. What this means is bring your own supplies. The standards are Tent, Sleeping bag or blankets (remember it will be cold at night) Propane Camp Stove, Flashlight or Lantern, Food and Water to last the amount of time you will stay and proper clothing. Extras would be Hibachi, portable shower, playing cards or games, fishing gear, radio, hammock…etc. Individual campfires will not be permitted and water will be available for $1.50 a bottle through the ranch. Clean Porto- Potties will be available to all. Most camping supplies can be purchased from Wal-Mart, Target or your local sporting goods store. REI has a Flagship store in Denver and would be a great stop on your way up to the camp. The store is an outdoor persons dream and the sales staff is more than helpful.

WHAT NOT TO BRING:
Just like any state run campsite there are items that will not be allowed at the event. No Pets (Exception is service animals only), No Glass Bottles, NO DRUGS, No Weapons of any kind, No explosives or Fireworks, No hazardous Chemicals, No ATV’s or Off Highway vehicles will be allowed to drive inside the property unless rented through the ranch. If your Off Highway vehicle happens to be your means of transportation, you will be able to operate only in designated areas (camp site parking). This location is an active ranch and we will respect both the landowner and Mother Nature to assure a welcome return for the future. These rules will be handed out at registration.
SERVICES:
American Safari Ranch has many amenities available to us for the campout. There is a Saloon that will be open between 5pm and 11pm each day. Water, sodas and beer will be available for purchase as well as three meals a day for an additional $6 per meal. This is a working ranch so Horseback rides will also be available for purchase though the ranch.
ACTIVITIES:
We have a team of organizers working on daily activities to keep you busy in-between the relaxing times of your stay. Sky Diving, river rafting, hikes, bikes and workshops are just a few of the activities that will take place. Tent decorating contests and musical acts on stage are among others… I heard a rumor that the Boulder CS’rs are bringing a Slip n Slide, and a surprise pillow fight may take place. Please feel free to dream up what you would like to contribute at the campout. Please keep in mind that we do not want to disrupt or destroy the beauty of our surroundings. Whatever is dreamed up in those wonderful minds of yours; please make sure that we can clean it up easily. If you would like to add a workshop or group activity please contact Organizer April to get your idea on the event schedule.
